Eligibility Requirements:
ACPE-accredited and BPTS-recognized.
NPTA’s Pharmacy Technician Immunization Administration Training Program has been developed to meet the training program requirements established by the HHS guidance under the PREP Act. The program is ACPE-accredited for 8 contact hours, including hands-on training (10 hr for Massachusetts).

NPTA training programs are available to all CPhTs (NHA or PTCB) and are available as online, on-demand courses, with options for students to complete their hands-on training either at work or virtually with our in-house instructors.

Technicians enrolled in the program are required to complete 7 hours of coursework, including online self-study + hands-on training, including skill validations. You can be trained and prepared to begin administering vaccines within days.

How This Course Works
Participants must complete six separate online learning modules (totaling five hours), each comprised of a recorded webinar and a module quiz. A score of 70% or higher is required for each quiz. After completing the self-study modules, participants must complete documented hands-on training and complete skill validations demonstrating proficiency.

Individuals must be nationally certified pharmacy technicians (CPhT) through either NHA or PTCB, and/or be registered/licensed by their State Board of Pharmacy.
This course is ACPE-accredited for 8 hours of continuing pharmacy education (10 hours for Massachusetts) and it also meets all requirements established by Health & Human Services. This course is recognized by the Board of Pharmacy Technician Specialties (BPTS) for the Immunization Administration Certificate exam.
This is a self-directed course, meaning that the majority of the program is available online and on-demand to fit into your desired pace and schedule. The only item that requires specific scheduling for this course is for the skill validations - should you choose to complete this with our in-house instructors. Validations for this course typically require 30 minutes and you are able to schedule your appointment online.
The list price for this course is $149 for active NPTA members or $199 for non-members.
In addition, specific supplies are required for the hands-on training and skill validations for this course, which can be sourced directly from your pharmacy or we offer an individual lab kit that costs $49.
